Landlord & Tenant Rights-Updated to Include New Legislation

The legal rights and responsibilities of renters and landlords

The expectations around housing can be different depending on where a person is used to living. There is a lot to consider when moving from a caregiver’s home or a reserve, for example, to a property being rented out. Landlord and Tenant Rights is for anyone currently renting or seeking accommodation. Tenant responsibilities come with moving into, residing and moving out of a rental property. Landlord responsibilities include making sure the property is livable and complying with anti-discrimination legislation. After the workshop, a checklist brochure will be given to workshop participants.
